Joe Wilson, a member of the U.S. Congress representing South Carolina’s 2nd district, has expressed his views on various international matters through a series of tweets dated February 15, 2025. The tweets address issues concerning Tunisia, Iran, and Syria.

On February 15, 2025, Joe Wilson criticized Tunisian President Kais Saied's regime in a tweet for introducing a new law that allows the president to seize wealth from any Tunisian citizen. Wilson stated: "Tunisian tyrant Kais Saied’s regime announced a new law to promote corruption in Tunisia by letting him take the wealth of any Tunisian he wants. He already took over all power now he wants the wealth of his people. Kais, more corruption will not fix your failing economy!"

Later that day, Wilson tweeted about meeting Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi in Munich and commented on Germany's decision to ban Pahlavi from attending the Munich Security Conference. In his tweet, he mentioned: "Grateful to meet with Crown Prince @PahlaviReza in Munich. Sadly, @GermanyDiplo wrongly banned him from @MunSecConf but he remains undaunted. Free Iran!!!"

In another tweet on the same day, Wilson discussed his meeting with Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Shaibani alongside other officials including House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Emeritus Michael McCaul and Representative Seth Moulton. He emphasized support for a democratic Syria by stating: "Grateful to meet with the Syrian Foreign Minister @Asaad_Shaibani with @HouseForeignGOP Chairman Emeritus @RepMcCaul and @SethMoulton. We want free Syria to succeed. A democratic Syria is in US interests. Easing sanctions on Syria will help Syrians return home and rebuild."
