Joe Wilson, a U.S. Congressman representing South Carolina's 2nd district since 2001, has recently shared his views on various political issues through a series of tweets. Wilson, who succeeded Floyd Spence in Congress and previously served in the South Carolina Senate, has been vocal about his support for former President Trump and his criticism of Iranian influence in Iraq.

On February 18, 2025, Joe Wilson expressed his support for President Trump's border policies by stating "Sovereign and secure borders = a safe and strong America. President Trump is already doing more to stop the invasion of America by criminals than any other administration. Once again, promises made, promises kept." He emphasized the need to "MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN."

In another tweet dated February 19, 2025, Wilson criticized the Iraqi judiciary's perceived alignment with Iran: "Even the judiciary in Iraq is run by Iranian puppets. Iraqi Constitutional Court Justice Fayiq Zaydan has in a number of rulings banned any anti-Iran government from taking power." He questioned where such actions were justified within the Iraqi Constitution and called for Iraq's liberation from Iranian influence.

On the same day, Wilson addressed an arrest warrant issued against former President Trump by an Iraqi judge: "A warrant for President Trump’s arrest by Iraqi Constitutional Court Justice Fayiq Zaydan for killing terrorist Qasem Soleimani. The same Zaydan overturned the last election and required the govt formed to be fully run by Iran." He criticized continued funding to Iraq as "insanity."
