Joe Wilson, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing South Carolina's 2nd district, has shared his views on international relations through a series of tweets. Wilson, who succeeded Floyd Spence in 2001 and previously served in the South Carolina Senate, expressed concerns over nuclear capabilities, geopolitical conflicts, and foreign influence.

On February 19, 2025, Joe Wilson emphasized the importance of preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear capabilities. He stated that there should be "Maximum pressure on the Iranian regime" and "Maximum support for the Iranian people."

Later that day, Wilson addressed Russia's conflict with Ukraine. In a tweet at 10:02 AM UTC, he mentioned that "President Trump can halt Russia’s war against Ukraine!" He expressed gratitude for an op-ed by Clifford D. May in The Washington Times discussing the administration's approach to sanctions and military aid if Russian President Vladimir Putin does not cease his invasion.

In another tweet posted at 3:16 PM UTC on February 19, Wilson commented on Tunisia's political alignment with Iran. He claimed that "Tunisia is far more an Iranian puppet than is commonly understood," alleging that Tunisian leader Kais Saied’s brother Nawfal directs Iran policy while managing an Iranian-backed organization. Wilson argued against using taxpayer dollars to fund what he described as aiding the Iranian regime.
