Joe Wilson, a U.S. Congressman representing South Carolina's 2nd district since 2001, has been active on social media, sharing his perspectives on international and domestic issues. Wilson, who succeeded Floyd Spence in Congress and previously served in the South Carolina Senate from 1985 to 2001, continues to engage with current events through his Twitter account.

On March 21, 2025, Joe Wilson raised questions about the activities of a former Iraqi Prime Minister in Yemen. In his tweet, he asked: "What is the former Iraqi PM doing in Yemen?".

Later that day, Wilson commented on Tunisian politics. He tweeted about Ahmad Salman, a pro-Hezbollah cleric in Tunisia, stating: "Tunisian pro-Hezbollah anti-American cleric Ahmad Salman boasts about widespread public outpouring for Hezbollah’s Nasrallah—impossible without state backing in Tunisia’s police state. Clear evidence of Tunisian state-sponsored extremism. Free Tunisia!".

In another post on the same day, Wilson expressed gratitude towards Donald Trump and the Secretary of Defense for their efforts to maintain national security through military strength. He remarked: "I am grateful to @realDonaldTrump and @SecDef for their commitment to keeping American families safe with Peace Through Strength. Today’s announcement that America is moving forward into the next generation of air dominance with the F-47 fighter jet further sends our adversaries".
