Joe Wilson, a member of the U.S. Congress representing South Carolina's 2nd district since 2001, has expressed his views on various international issues through a series of tweets. Wilson, who succeeded Floyd Spence in Congress and previously served in the South Carolina Senate from 1985 to 2001, is known for his outspoken stance on foreign policy matters.

On February 15, 2025, Joe Wilson tweeted about the ongoing conflict involving Ukraine and Russia. He stated that "If Ukrainians had not stopped War Criminal Putin at Kyiv and held off the Russian war machine for 3 years, Russia would have already pushed into NATO allies. Russia seeks to rebuild the Soviet Empire, which expanded into Germany and sought to expand even further."

Later that day, Wilson shared his thoughts on political developments in Georgia. He expressed gratitude for meeting with what he referred to as the "Legitimate President of Georgia," criticizing another political figure by stating: "Grateful to see my great friend Legitimate President of Georgia @Zourabichvili_S! Illegitimate Ivanishvili rigged an election in October and is now turning Georgia into a dictatorship. We need immediate sanctions on the regime. Free and fair elections are the only way forward!"

In another tweet posted on February 15, Wilson commented on the situation between Russia and Ukraine once more. He asserted that "The fastest way to end the war is to win it. War Criminal Putin is weaker than ever. The killing stops immediately when Russia leaves Ukraine."
