Joe Wilson, a longstanding member of the U.S. Congress representing South Carolina's 2nd district, shared several statements on social media recently. His posts touched on national security appointments, international affairs concerning Tibet, and legislative efforts related to regulatory relief.

On February 12, 2025, Wilson expressed his support for the appointment of Tulsi Gabbard as the new Director of National Intelligence. He highlighted her previous visit to Tbilisi and her understanding of the national security threat posed by the Ivanishvili regime. Wilson noted his gratitude for introducing Gabbard to President Zourabichvili in Georgia. "Congratulations to our new Director of National Intelligence @TulsiGabbard! Director Gabbard visited Tbilisi as a member of the House and understands the profound national security threat of the Ivanishvili regime. I was grateful to introduce her to President @Zourabichvili_S"

Later that day, Wilson addressed historical issues regarding Tibet's sovereignty in another post. He asserted that Tibet has always been a free country and criticized China's actions over nearly 75 years aimed at suppressing Tibetan religious and cultural freedom. He concluded with a call for Tibetan independence: "Tibet has always been a free country. The Chinese Communist Party invaded nearly 75 years ago, attempting to squash Tibetan religious and cultural freedom. But Tibet refuses to surrender. Free Tibet!"

In his final tweet on February 12, Wilson voiced his support for legislation introduced by Representative Andy Biggs from Arizona. The Midnight Rules Relief Act aims to allow Congress more leeway in removing regulations imposed during the Biden-Harris administration which are perceived as detrimental while supporting job creation initiatives associated with former President Trump: "Grateful to speak in support of @RepAndyBiggsAZ Midnight Rules Relief Act to enable Congress to cut through destructive regulations wrongly imposed under the Biden-Harris admin and support Trump jobs creation"
