Joe Wilson, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing South Carolina's 2nd district, has expressed his views on various international issues through a series of tweets. Known for his strong opinions, Wilson has been in office since 2001 after succeeding Floyd Spence. He also served in the South Carolina Senate from 1985 to 2001.

In a tweet dated February 12, 2025, Wilson criticized the ongoing sanctions on Syria, stating that maintaining them would hinder refugee returns and increase humanitarian aid costs. He further commented that "War Criminal Putin will also take advantage." Additionally, he suggested the construction of "a Trump Tower in Damascus." The full tweet can be found here.

Later that day, Wilson proposed a resolution to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. On February 12, 2025, he tweeted that "A land swap between War Criminal Putin and Ukraine to end the war is a FAIR DEAL," suggesting an exchange of territories occupied by both countries. This tweet is available here.

In another tweet on February 12, 2025, Wilson reflected on being labeled an enemy by an Assad regime official in Syria last year. He remarked on Assad's current presence in Moscow and declared Syria free from dictatorship. He warned other leaders like Ivanishvili, Saied, and Maduro about their potential fates as brutal dictators. The original post can be accessed here.
