City of Aiken Severe Weather Preparation Tips

The City of Aiken is currently under a Tropical Storm Warning. The CSRA area is expected to experience wind gusts and substantial rain from Hurricane Ian. City residents are requested to monitor reliable sources for updated storm information such as @SCEMD, @NWS-Columbia, and @NWSNHC.

Current forecasts predict the greatest impacts to the CSRA region on Friday and Friday night with tropical storm force winds (40-50 mph) possible. The most recent forecast calls for 2-3 inches of rain.

The Aiken Explorer App also provides important updates to City residents and is available to download from both the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Please note the numbers below to call for utility problems, downed trees, road obstructions and other storm related problems. Please only call 911 with life threatening emergencies. Call ADPS Dispatch at 803-642-7620 for downed trees, roadway obstructions, or other storm related issues.
