Joe Wilson, a member of the U.S. Congress representing South Carolina’s 2nd district since 2001, recently shared his perspectives on international political issues through a series of tweets. Wilson has been an active voice in foreign policy matters and has served in public office for several decades.

On February 6, 2025, Joe Wilson expressed concerns about the presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Syria. He stated, "It would be major mistake for the new Syrian government to allow War Criminal Putin to remain in Syria in any capacity."

Later that day, Wilson addressed US-Pakistan relations by advocating for the release of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan. He noted his efforts by saying, "Grateful to send this letter today to the political and military leaders of Pakistan to Free Imran Khan. I will also be engaging the Trump administration on this issue." He emphasized that "US-Pakistan relations are strongest when Pakistan is democratic."

In another post on February 6, Wilson discussed democracy and sanctions with journalist Francois F24. He shared his views by stating, "Grateful to post the full interview today with @FrancoisF24 discussing the need to restore democracy in Tunisia & Georgia and the need to lift sanctions on Syria."
