Campus calendar

University of South Carolina-Aiken issued the following announcement on November 1.

Aiken, SC (11/01/2021) — On Friday, November 5 the University of South Carolina Aiken (USCA) will electronically release the first round of freshman admission decisions for the Fall 2022 semester. This is the earliest release date of decisions in more than a decade.

"We believe that letting high school students know their admission status to USC Aiken is important in helping them start the commitment process. With so many students applying for the Fall 2022 semester, we are excited to get this news out early and start working with students and their families to get enrolled," said Andrew Hendrix, director of admissions.

USCA is experiencing a large increase in freshman applications for Fall 2022 which is likely due to the addition of new programs of study (e.g. mechanical engineering, cyber security, Spanish translation, and more) as well as increased flexibility in living and learning options on campus.

"US News and World Report continues to rank USCA as one of the top public universities in the South and many students and parents are rightfully attracted by that ranking," said Daniel Robb, associate vice chancellor for enrollment management. "Being a top-ranked university and offering such an amazing education at such an affordable price is something we focus on every year. Our goal is to provide a great education with small class sizes at a great price point. We believe that USCA offers an outstanding educational value for students throughout South Carolina, across the country, and even around the world."

Students can check their application status, apply, or submit any missing documents online at usca.edu/apply.

Students who wish to be considered for university-based scholarships should complete their applications by December 1, 2021.
