Joe Wilson, a member of the U.S. Congress representing South Carolina's 2nd district since 2001, recently shared his perspectives on international relations and national security through a series of tweets. Wilson has served in Congress following his predecessor Floyd Spence and is noted for his long-standing political career, including time in the South Carolina Senate. His comments reflect concerns about Middle Eastern politics, global economic issues, and military conflicts.

On January 30, 2025, Wilson addressed the situation in Oman regarding its relationship with the Houthis. He stated that "Our great friends in Oman need to isolate and not embrace the Houthis. Houthi office in Oman must be shut down, money laundering stopped, and border sealed to stop Houthi weapon transfers."

In another post on January 31, 2025, Wilson expressed support for President Trump's financial policies. He remarked that "I welcome President Trump’s stalwart defense of the dollar against attempts by War Criminal Putin, the Iranian regime, and the Chinese Communist Party to circumvent it. This will massively crack down on the free flow of dirty money."

Later that day, Wilson commented on Ukraine's military efforts against North Korean troops. He tweeted that "Ukrainians have beaten back North Korean troops so badly that War Criminal Putin has had to pull them back from the frontline. This is a direct result of US support. Support for Ukraine is an investment in US national security."
