Joe Wilson, a U.S. Congressman representing South Carolina’s 2nd district since 2001, shared his perspectives on various geopolitical issues through a series of tweets on January 28, 2025.

In one tweet posted at 16:51 UTC, Wilson expressed his stance against several international figures and regimes. He stated, "The regime in Tehran must go. Dictator Maduro must go. Corrupt Ivanishvili must go."

Later that day, at 17:14 UTC, Wilson voiced support for a proposed pause on foreign aid by Secretary Rubio. He remarked, "I support @SecRubio 90-day pause on foreign aid. US taxpayer money must not go to the Iranian-backed regime in Iraq. America should cancel this 'aid' altogether! We must put America first."

Finally, at 17:46 UTC, Wilson expressed approval of President Trump's trade policy executive order aimed at strengthening economic measures against China. He commented, "Grateful that President Trump’s America First trade policy EO will strengthen our economic statecraft with new tools to use against Communist China including export controls, outbound investment reviews, and the ICTS rule."
