On January 23, 2025, Joe Wilson tweeted about his meeting with Czech national security advisor Tomáš Pojar. He emphasized the importance of collaboration to counter "War Criminal Putin" and the "tyrannical Ivanishvili regime," highlighting the necessity for Czech moral and strategic clarity. "I was grateful to meet with Czech national security advisor Tomáš Pojar. We discussed how we can work together to defeat War Criminal Putin & the tyrannical Ivanishvili regime. Czech moral and strategic clarity is needed now more than ever!"

Later that day, Wilson addressed the need for a new policy on Iraq via another tweet. He advocated against replacing ISIS with Iran-backed militias in Iraq and called for maximum pressure on these groups. He also mentioned giving a speech on this issue on the House floor, asserting confidence in Trump's ability to address it. "It’s time for a new policy on Iraq. We cannot replace ISIS with Iran. Maximum pressure must include Iran-backed militias in Iraq. I was grateful to give this speech today on the House floor. Trump will fix it."

On January 24, 2025, Wilson expressed gratitude towards Nate Sibley and Hudson Institute for urging sanctions against Ivanishvili by the UK government. He accused Ivanishvili of election rigging in Georgia and collaborating with various regimes deemed adversarial by Wilson."Grateful to @NateSibley @HudsonInstitute for this clarion call on the UK to sanction Ivanishvili, his immediate family & his cronies.
