City of North Augusta issued the following announcement on July 13.
Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is seeking feedback about a proposed solution to replace the existing bridge carrying SR 4/US25 BU/13th Street over the Savannah River between Augusta, Georgia and North Augusta, South Carolina.
This project is proposed because the current bridge is structurally deficient, is in substandard condition, and does not meet current design standards. The Public Comment period closes August 13, 2021.
