AIKEN COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT: Aiken County Public Schools: Request for Stakeholder Input on ESSER III Funding

Announcement

Aiken County School District issued the following announcement on July 14.

IMPORTANT REQUEST FOR INPUT ON AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN FEDERAL FUNDING.

In our mission as the unifying agent of new horizons and extraordinary possibilities in our community we are dedicated to providing opportunities for all partner voices to be heard.

We are seeking input on the spending of our school district's American Rescue Plan (ARP) - Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER III) allocation. The American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act allocates emergency funds to address learning loss and academic needs related to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Aiken County Public School District has been allocated approximately $63 million dollars in ESSER III funding and we are asking our community partners (employees, parents, students, community members, and more) to share their thoughts on the budgeting and expenditure of these funds.

We ask all partners to encourage their friends and neighbors to access the survey and lend their voices as well.
