Joe Wilson, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing South Carolina’s 2nd district, shared a series of tweets on March 17, 2025, addressing various geopolitical issues. Wilson, who has been in office since replacing Floyd Spence in 2001, expressed his views on Middle Eastern affairs and international relations.

In a tweet posted at 15:53 UTC, Wilson commented on the actions of Hezbollah. He stated that "Hezbollah is acting out because the new Syrian government has been cutting off weapons smuggling networks from the IRGC and captagon smuggling networks from the Assad regime remnants. AXIS OF LOSERS!"

Later that day at 17:05 UTC, Wilson addressed Tunisia's political stance under President Kais Saied and his brother Naoufel. He remarked that "Tunisia under Kais Saied and his brother Naoufel again moves closer to Iran with the opening of a new Iranian center in Tunisia the Ahl Al Bayt Center. Tunisia is a key supporter of extremism in the region. Why continue sending this country aid & weapons? Trump will fix it."

At 17:16 UTC, Wilson expressed gratitude for his appearance on a television program by tweeting "I was grateful to appear on Al Basheer show! Please tune in. Free Iraq from Iran".
