Special Education Day is being celebrated today across the country and we are so proud to have some of the very best special education professionals serving in our Department of Special Programs.
The Department of Special Programs has participated in several Project Unify events this year including a Fall Carnival at Aiken High School, Flag Football at Midland Valley High School, and a Fall Festival at North Augusta High School. Students had a blast spending time with friends from other schools while playing games and enjoying pizza together.
Aiken County schools and the Department of Special Programs will continue to support students with disabilities this school year with upcoming events to include the Perfect Prom, Softball, Special Olympics and other special outings.
