The ‘helpful hardware’ store is opening a new location in Edgefield, South Carolina.

The new Ace Hardware store called "Big House Ace" located at 302 Augusta Road will open May 1, according to an Ace press release.

“Our mission is to provide customers with the neighborly advice and assistance they have come to expect from Ace,” the company said. “We look forward to becoming a helpful and valuable neighbor to the community, both inside and outside the walls of our store.”

Ace Hardware has been a staple among hardware enthusiasts for over 90 years and the new store will provide many options for shoppers, the release stated.

"The store has been designed to reflect the needs of Edgefield, including solutions to everyday home maintenance needs, as well as an extensive array of high-quality products in categories such as paint, lawn and garden," according to the release. "The store is packed with thousands of essential products and supplies, including some of the most respected brand names and best-selling items to help people take care of their homes."

Ace operates more than 5,500 locally owned and operated stores across the globe and has stores in all 50 states, the release stated.

Ace Hardware, which is headquartered in Oak Brook, Illinois, was ranked "Highest in Customer Satisfaction with Home Improvement Retail Stores," by JD Power in 2014, an honor the company has won eight years in a row, the release stated.
