Aiken, SC (04/19/2022) — The Aiken Walk for Ukraine, a walk to raise awareness and funds for the refugees of the Ukraine crisis, will take place on Saturday, May 14 at Virginia Acres Park (Odell Weeks) located at 1700 Whiskey Rd., Aiken - rain or shine. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the walk begins at 9 a.m.
The walk is being organized by the Aiken Scholars Academy Student Council and the University of South Carolina Aiken (USC Aiken). All donations will go to the International Rescue Committee to support humanitarian efforts in Ukraine. Monica Martin, one of the event's organizers and assistant to the dean of the USC Aiken School of Business, emphasized, "Every individual can make a difference, and together we can make an impact."
