City of Aiken issued the following announcement on March 14.
The City of Aiken Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department is excited to host its inaugural Teddy Bear Family Picnic! On Sunday, May 1, 2022, we will celebrate Moms with a picnic on the lawn at Rye Patch, 100 Berrie Road, from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm.
Bring a blanket and your favorite stuffed animal for an afternoon of family fun. We will provide boxed lunches from A Steller Kitchen, a craft for the whole family, and have KW Photography on-site to capture the wonderful memories.
Registration is $5 per person and opens March 21, 2022, at Odell Weeks Activities Center and Smith-Hazel Recreation Center! In the event of inclement weather, the event will be inside the Rye Patch Reception Center.
