University of South Carolina-Aiken issued the following announcement on September 3.
Aiken, SC (09/03/2021) — Former University of South Carolina Aiken (UofSC Aiken) cross country standouts Marcie (Milner) Rapp and Alley (Dashenahaus) Kneece have returned to the university to serve as co-head coaches for the men's and women's cross country programs.
Rapp, who graduated as the school 5K record holder, was a three-year letter-winner and led the team in all 7 races as a senior in 2006. Kneece, a four-year runner, wrapped up her career in 2008 and helped her team to back-to-back top-5 finishes in the Peach Belt Conference Championship her junior and senior seasons.
Both Rapp, a local nurse, and Kneece, a local small business owner, are active in the community and avid runners. The duo returned to UofSC Aiken in mid-August to help coach both programs. They will lead the Pacers throughout the 2021 campaign, from the season-opening meet on September 10 at the 9th Annual UNG Invitational, hosted by North Georgia, through the Peach Belt Conference Championships on October 23.
