Aiken County Sheriff’s Office: Family Dollar Armed Robbery

Aiken County Sheriff’s Office issued the following announcement on July 19.

Warrenville, SC (19 July 2021, 2:25 pm) – Investigators are needing the community’s assistance in identifying a witness to an armed robbery of a Family Dollar located at 1207 Augusta Road.  The robbery took place on July 13th around 9:30 pm.  Two armed Black males entered the store after the witness exited.  A third black male stood watch outside the front doors during the robbery.  At gunpoint, the store employees were told to open the safe and cash registers.  The suspects stole money and an amount of tobacco products. Before the suspects ran away, it was reported that they went through one of the store employee’s car.

A second Family Dollar located at 132 Kerr Street in North Augusta was robbed by an armed Black male. The robbery took place on July 18th around 9:59 pm.  It is believe that the two cases are not related at this time. If anyone has any information on the identity of this witness or information that would assist this investigation, ask them to contact the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office at (803) 648-6811.  You can provided information anonymously through Midlands Crime Stoppers.  Your tip could earn you a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for any crime.
