Former Midland Valley High School standout Desmond Evans contributed to his Lander Bearcats team’s 76-71 victory over the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters during the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 14.

The matchup was held at 2:30 p.m. in Finis Horne Arena, marking the Bearcats’ first game in the tournament against the Railsplitters.

Lander is set to play its next game at Abney Athletic Center on Sunday, March 15, with tipoff scheduled for 5 p.m.
