Congressman Joe Wilson (R-SC) has expressed his support following the Congressional approval of the ‘One Big Beautiful Bill.’ In a statement, he highlighted the bill’s alignment with the agenda set by President Donald Trump.
“Voters made their mandate clear in November for a Republican House and Senate to now deliver the ‘One Big Beautiful Bill’ to Republican President Donald Trump for his signature, making it law on behalf of the American people,” Wilson stated.
Wilson emphasized that “limited government prevails over big government” and noted that this comprehensive legislation is intended to fulfill Trump’s America First agenda. The bill aims to reduce unnecessary government spending and improve governmental efficiency for both South Carolinians and Americans nationwide.
According to Wilson, the bill provides Congress with a framework to address several key issues: securing borders, enhancing American energy independence, extending tax cuts from Trump’s administration, creating jobs, and introducing practical governance measures.
He assured that Medicare and Social Security would remain protected under this legislation. Additionally, Medicaid will be safeguarded against waste, fraud, and abuse to ensure its availability for vulnerable populations.
